The Challenge:

Warren wanted a site that could:

• Represent his personal brand, not just his brokerage
• Showcase listings clearly and professionally
• Make it easy for buyers and sellers to reach out
• Actually get found on Google

At the same time, we had to work within industry requirements and make sure everything stayed compliant with IDX and brokerage guidelines.

Fully-Integrated IDX Website

Our Approach:

We started by getting clear on how Warren wanted to show up online. From there, we rebuilt his digital presence from the ground up with a focus on control, clarity, and long-term growth.

One of the biggest pieces of this project was selecting the right IDX solution.

We researched multiple IDX providers, compared functionality, performance, and compliance requirements, and helped Warren land on the best option for his goals. From there, we handled the full integration — making sure listings were easy to browse, search, and act on without slowing down the site.

We also structured the site in a way that supports SEO from day one. That means clean page structure, intentional keyword placement, and a setup that allows Google to properly crawl and index the content.

Beyond the build itself, we stepped in as problem solvers.

When issues came up — from platform limitations to email authentication problems — we didn’t pass them off. We worked through them, identified what was actually happening, and implemented clean solutions so everything worked the way it should.

What We Built:

We started by stepping back and looking at the full picture — not just the website, but how Warren was trying to show up in his business.

He had a strong foundation through his brokerage, but the platform he was using didn’t give him the flexibility to present himself the way he wanted. Everything felt boxed in, and there wasn’t a clear way for clients to connect with him directly or understand what made his approach different.

So we rebuilt his online presence from the ground up.

We designed and developed a fully custom WordPress site that gives him control over his content, layout, and messaging. Every section was built with intention — from how his services are explained to how users move through the site.

One of the biggest pieces of this project was the IDX integration.

Instead of plugging in the first option and hoping for the best, we took the time to research different IDX providers, compare performance, usability, and compliance requirements, and help him choose the right fit for his business. From there, we handled the full integration and made sure it worked seamlessly within the site — not as a clunky add-on, but as part of the overall experience.

We also structured the site with SEO in mind from the beginning.

That includes building out page hierarchy, implementing location-based keywords for the Triangle area, optimizing metadata, and making sure the site is set up so Google can properly crawl and index it. This isn’t something we tack on at the end — it’s part of how we build from day one.

Beyond the build itself, we stepped in as problem solvers.

When issues came up — whether it was platform limitations, DNS confusion, or email authentication problems — we worked through them, identified the root cause, and fixed them cleanly. In this case, we were able to pinpoint and resolve an authentication issue that was impacting email deliverability, making sure his messages were actually reaching clients.

We didn’t just hand off a finished site and walk away.

We continue to support Warren through ongoing updates, maintenance, and improvements so the site keeps working for him as his business grows.

“Working with Barefoot has been an amazing experience. They designed a stunning website that is becoming a focal point for my real estate business.”

The Result:

Warren now has a website that finally reflects how he actually works with clients.

Instead of being boxed into a brokerage-controlled layout, he now has full control over his messaging, structure, and how his services are presented. We built the site so that buyers and sellers immediately understand who he is, what he offers, and how to take the next step without having to dig for it.

On the listings side, everything is now streamlined and easy to use. The IDX integration allows visitors to search, filter, and explore properties without friction, while still keeping them within Warren’s brand and experience. No redirects, no confusion — just a clear path from browsing to reaching out.

From a performance and SEO standpoint, the site is structured so Google can actually read and index it properly. Pages are organized with intention, keywords are placed where they matter, and the backend is set up to support long-term visibility instead of short-term fixes.

We also worked through issues that weren’t obvious at the surface level — including email authentication problems that were quietly affecting deliverability. By identifying and correcting those backend gaps, we made sure his communication is just as reliable as his website.

What he has now isn’t just a better-looking site. It’s a system that supports how he runs his business — one that he can update, grow, and rely on without running into constant limitations.
