Refund Policy

Barefoot Build is committed to clear expectations and fair business practices. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be issued for our services.
By engaging Barefoot Build for any service, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Project-Based Services
Project-based services include but are not limited to website builds, redesigns, refreshes, and one-time development work.
Due to the custom nature of this work:
- Deposits and payments for project-based services are non-refundable once work has begun
- Time spent on planning, design, development, and communication cannot be reversed
- Completed or partially completed work is billable regardless of launch status
- If a project is canceled by the client after work has started, no refunds will be issued for payments already made.
2. PayPal Pay in 4 Projects
When PayPal Pay in 4 is used:
- The PayPal agreement serves as both the initial and final deposit
- Work may begin and the website may launch before all installments are completed
- Refunds are not issued based on remaining installment payments
Any disputes related to Pay in 4 payments must be handled directly through PayPal in accordance with their terms.
3. Care Plans & Subscription Services
Care Plans are recurring monthly subscription services that include hosting, maintenance, monitoring, and support.
Monthly Care Plan fees are non-refundable once billed
Partial month refunds are not provided
Cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund prior charges
Care Plans may be canceled in writing prior to the next billing cycle.
4. Hosting Services
Hosting is bundled into Care Plans and is provided on a month-to-month basis.
Hosting fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle begins
Service availability is contingent on account standing and timely payment
5. Google Business Profile Services
Services related to Google Business Profile setup, optimization, or support are non-refundable.
Because approval, visibility, and ranking are controlled by Google, refunds are not issued based on outcomes, suspensions, or reinstatement decisions.
6. Third-Party Fees
Barefoot Build is not responsible for refunds of third-party costs including but not limited to:
- Domain registrations
- Hosting providers outside of our Care Plans
- Plugin licenses
- Theme purchases
- Platform or software subscriptions
These fees are governed by the third party’s refund policies.
7. Service Interruptions or Termination
Refunds are not issued for:
- Service pauses due to unpaid invoices
- Late fees
- Termination resulting from policy violations
- Client-requested holds or delays
If services are terminated due to nonpayment, previously paid fees remain non-refundable.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
In rare cases, Barefoot Build may issue a partial refund at our sole discretion. This does not establish a precedent or alter this policy.
